GREEN BAY (NBC 26) — Red lights are shining bright Tuesday night around Green Bay. It's part of an effort to bring awareness to the entertainment industry hurt by the pandemic.

At St. Norbert's, they lit up the Hall of Fine Arts with red lights for three hours for the Red Alert Restart program. The effort started in the UK and Europe as the pandemic put many people in the entertainment industry out of work.

"This is bringing us all back together again," said Corey Pinchart, the technical director. "We've been apart for 5-6 months not doing what we know how to do. With a simple post on my Facebook page, I was able to gather 12-15 people in a matter of days just to come and put up a few lights and sit around and tell each other stories about what we used to do. Because we miss it. We miss our jobs."

A few other shops and venues around town also turned red Tuesday night. St. Norbert had their's lit until midnight.
