KIEL, Wis. (NBC 26) -- A lightning strike causes extensive damage to an apartment building in the City of Kiel.
According to the Kiel Fire Department and Ambulance Service, firefighters were called the building at 451 Clay Street after a reported fire sparked by a direct hit lightning strike.
Fire crews say the fire ripped through the four-unit complex. The fire caused significant damage throughout the building.
The unit was unoccupied at the time.
A total of four people have been displaced.
No one was hurt.
