MANITOWOC — A military-focused job fair in Manitowoc set a goal of hiring our nation’s heroes on Thursday.
More than fifty employers were on hand at the Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center, offering job opportunities for all skill levels in several different career fields.
"That's what we're hoping is that candidates, the military personnel that attend today leave with job offers,” said Angela Casper, the Chapter President of the Sheboygan Area Society for Human Resource Management. “It's really a great opportunity to shorten that time frame from interview to hire."
Event organizers say they hoped to help 100 veterans find jobs Thursday. The event was hosted by the Sheboygan Area Society for Human Resource Management.
