Pet dog dies in Bellevue house fire, student pickup at nearby school impacted

BELLEVUE (NBC 26) -- A pet dog died in a house fire in Bellevue, firefighters said Tuesday. The fire was reported around 2:30 p.m. No people were injured. The house is expected to be a total loss.

Firefighters were responding to reports of explosions, but the exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

Brown County Sheriff's Office notified the public of the fire, as the fire caused traffic issues near a school.

The fire was reported on on Spring Creek Circle. Spring Creek Circle and Dorset Drive were closed.

The Sheriff's Office said McAuliffe Elementary School parents needed to use only Emerald Drive for child pickup. The students are safe.
