GREEN BAY (NBC26) - Football fans were in disarray Sunday, not knowing what to do without an official NFL game on.

“Other than this, it will be a boring day,” said Amber Peck of Poynette as she ate pancakes for breakfast.

Could it be classified as emotional eating as football fans were left with their Sunday wide-open.

“Pretty depressed, it kind of stinks,” said Spencer Schwartz of Crivitz.

“It’s really different, way different, it feels not normal,” added Angelo Martinez of Green Bay.

A handful of fans were found at The Pancake Place in Green Bay, many of them turning to less exciting activities when they left.

“Stuff around the house; put away Christmas stuff; and do some laundry I think,” said Casey Roznowski of Green Bay.

“The thing of it is, we cook for football,” said Charlene Breitlow of Suamico. “We make chili and snacks, so now we have to go on a diet. No good reason to have all those snacks.”

The Pro Bowl was a secondary option for many, but they say it’s just not the same.

“No, it could be little more exciting,” added Schwartz.

As the first Sunday without football, it gave fans a glimpse of a reality that we'll all have to face after the Super Bowl.

“It sucks that there’s no football on, but this comes every year, it ends,” Peck said.

It’s not the Packers, but football fans will have to wait until next Sunday when the 49ers take on the Chiefs for the 2020 Super Bowl.
