Deputy accused of criminal sexual conduct against high school student

MENOMINEE, Mich. (NBC 26) -- A Menominee County Sheriff’s Deputy is accused of criminal sexual conduct against a 16-year-old Menominee High School student.

The Menominee Police Department said Wednesday it received information about the allegation from Michigan Child Protective Services.

The police department said it investigated the case and submitted a warrant request to the Menominee County Prosecuting Attorney for review and to authorize potential criminal charges.

The accused deputy has not been identified. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact police.
