FOND DU LAC (NBC 26) -- The Fond du Lac Humane Society is trying to figure out who left a bucket of kittens outside its facility over the weekend.
The organization says the kittens were most likely dumped between 8 p.m. June 14 and 7 a.m. June 15.
"The kittens in the bucket are sick, covered in fleas and were found panting due to overheating," the organization said in a Facebook post on Monday.
The Fond du Lac Humane Society said no message was left with the kittens and their after hours number didn't receive a call regarding the kittens.
The organization says the kittens are being monitored closely by staff and the animal health manager. Anyone with information is asked to contact the shelter manager.
