BROWN COUNTY (NBC26) - The battle over gun control continues. A vote on whether to make Brown County a 2nd Amendment sanctuary has drawn a heated debate Wednesday night. The public comment period, delaying the action.

Our reporter at the meeting said 40 people put their name on the list; each person given 5 minutes to talk. Many of them spoke passionately to pass it. If this passes, Brown County would prohibit any laws that would affect people's access to getting a firearm or gun.

The meeting started at 7 p.m. and as of 10:53 p.m., the board had still not voted on the issue. We will update you when a decision has been made.
