Local flower shops see big boost in Valentine's Day business

GREEN BAY, Wis. - Wednesday is Valentine's Day. Many will celebrate by going out to dinner, gifting chocolates, jewelry and flowers. According to the National Retail Federation, U.S. consumers are expected to spend $19.6 billion on Valentine's Day, averaging out to $143.56.

This holiday, you don't have to break the bank and you can also shop a variety of gifts from local businesses across Northeast Wisconsin.

Green Bay Floral & Greenhouse in Green Bay has collaborated with dozens of local shops to help ease the process of treating your valentine.

The shop carries clothing, chocolates, bath salts and scrubs to add a little more love on to your request.

Owners, Tyler and Lauren Arkens, say they focus on delivering happiness every day, but that delivering someone's Valentine's Day gift is a huge honor.

"It's incredibly rewarding to have an opportunity to deliver the sentiment for somebody else, its a responsibility, but its also a relief when those deliveries go out." said Arkens.

Green Bay Floral & Greenhouse is located at 1263 Shawano Ave Green Bay, WI, 54303. Their hours are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
