WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — Health officials said three deaths related to COVID-19 were recorded Sunday afternoon, bringing the state total to 6,481 people to have died from the virus.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) said 8.5% of COVID-19 tests, or 329 out of 3,850 tests, returned positive. This is slightly lower than Saturday's 8.7% of positive tests returned.
The DHS reported 6,850 currently active cases are recorded across the state. This is a decrease of 235 recorded active cases from yesterday.
The percentage of people who originally tested positive for the virus and since recovered remains at 97.6%.
Hospitalizations increased by 25, bringing the state total to 26,457 people to ever be hospitalized with the virus. Across Wisconsin there are presently 260 COVID-19 patients and 77 people in ICU.
