Over 25% of Wisconsinites reported to have one vaccine dose, no new COVID-19 deaths

WISCONSIN (NBC 26) — State health officials reported over 25% of Wisconsinites got at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. A total of 855,820 people in the state have both doses of the vaccine.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) said no new COVID-19 deaths were recorded Sunday afternoon. The state total of deaths related to the virus remained at 27,102.

According to the DHS, 420 out of 4,448 COVID-19 tests, or 9.4% of tests, returned positive. This is a decrease from Saturday's 15% of positive daily tests.

The DHS said there are 6,219 recorded active virus cases across the state.

Hospitalizations increased by 30, bringing the state total to 27,102 people to ever be hospitalized with the virus.
