Shawano-Menominee Counties Health Department announced Tuesday that there is a confirmed case of coronavirus in Menominee County. This is the county's first confirmed case.

The person with coronavirus is under isolation as requested by local, state, and federal recommendations.

As stated with previous cases in other counties, health officials in Menominee County say their responsibilities include identifying and contacting anyone who has been in close contact with a person who has COVID-19.

These people are asked to quarantine themselves for 14 days from their exposure. They will be monitored for fever and respiratory symptoms. People with symptoms are tested for COVID-19.
