A burn hazard has prompted the recall of about 34-thousand video baby monitors sold in the U.S. and Canada.
The recall involves Lorex Care 'N' Share video baby monitors.
The firm has received 488 reports of batteries overheating and expanding causing the battery cover to open or come off, exposing hot batteries.
No injuries have been reported.
The recalled baby monitors were sold from May 2013 through last May at a number of stores including Babies R Us, Target and Walmart, as well as online at Amazon.com.
Consumers should stop using the product and contact Lorex to receive a full refund.
