Meteorologist

Meteorologist Michael Fish is a familiar face when it comes to forecasting the weather in Northeast Wisconsin. "Fish," as most people call him, first appeared on NBC 26 in 2010, filling in on weekends. He joined the morning team in 2017, where he woke up with viewers for several years. Currently, Fish has been helping out the NBC 26 weather team and their sister station, TMJ4 in Milwaukee. He began his career forecasting for almost 10 years at TMJ4 in Milwaukee starting in 2006. When you combine all of this, Fish has more than 20 years forecasting weather for the eastern half of Wisconsin.

Fish is a Wisconsin native, born and raised in Fond du Lac.

While storm spotting in 1996 and experiencing the massive Oakfield F5 tornado, he knew he wanted to obtain a better understanding of Meteorology. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Fish came back to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to work on his Master's Degree in Atmospheric Science.

When Wisconsin's weather is at its best or worst, Michael Fish has pretty much seen it all and will make sure you know what to expect.

Fish, his wife, and their new twins enjoy getting outside almost every day, rain or shine because they know you have to appreciate whatever Wisconsin's weather throws at them. He may also have a slightly unhealthy obsession with cars.
