Country music star Michael Ray arrested for DUI, possession of cannabis oil at Florida McDonald's

EUSTIS, Forida — Country music star Michael Ray was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of cannabis oil containing THC, according to Eustis police. 

Ray, whose full legal name is Michael Ray Roach, was in his 2012 Jeep Wangler in the McDonald's drive thru located at 2800 South Bay Street in Eustis when his vehicle was involved in a minor crash with the car in front of him early Wednesday morning.

Police were dispatched at approximately 3:34 a.m. and made contact with 29-year-old Michael Ray Roach. Officers observed indications of possible impairment from Roach and conducted a criminal investigation of driving under the influence.  

Michael Ray Roach was placed into custody for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, according to police. While officers were searching Roach, they found a glass bottle containing an unknown brownish substance in his left front pocket. The substance field-tested positive for cannabis oil containing THC. 

Roach was transported to the Lake County jail. He was charged with one count of Driving Under the Influence a Misdemeanor 1st degree and Possession of Cannabis Oil a Felony 3rd degree with a total bond of $6,000. 

"Michael Ray" Roach was in Tampa to sing the National Anthem at the Bucs came on Monday night.
