MILWAUKEE -- A child dressed as a small chorizo sausage put smiles on a lot of faces Sunday as the Milwaukee Brewers took on the San Diego Padres.

The middle of the sixth inning is one of the most anticipated parts of any Brewers game, thanks to the tradition of the Klement's Famous Racing Sausages. On Sundays, instead of the traditional sausage race, the team holds a "sausage relay," in which the fully grown sausages run halfway, then tag the "mini-sausages."

Sunday's relay race started out normally, but things went off script quickly as the adult chorizo sausage tagged his diminutive counterpart. Take a look at the video, from FOX Sports Wisconsin:

Bratwurst was able to capitalize on chorizo's slip-up, claiming victory in the relay. The Brewers were able to claim victory too, securing a 3-2 win over the Padres with home runs from both Jonathan Lucroy and Chris Carter.

The Klement's Famous Racing Sausages have been racing in-person (in-sausage?) since 2000. You can learn more about their history over on the Brewers' website.
