Subpar Brewers 'first half' ends today in Arizona; uncertainty for season's second half
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers have had the second-worst start of any team in the National League as they enter Sunday's contest against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
However, the season's second half - particularly the events which could happen in the month of July - could much further define the Brewers' future for years to come.
If trades happen, will General Manager Doug Melvin successfully stock a farm system that's depleted at the top (33-64 at AAA Nashville), help re-fill the Brewers organization and make them a long-term contender again?
Those questions won't be answered Sunday, but they'll be on the minds of the organization for the rest of this month.
In the meantime, Wily Peralta takes the mound Sunday against Arizona's Ian Kennedy.
