The Green Bay men got their first road victory of the season against UW-Milwaukee. Now, a weekend trip to Chicago presents some new challenges.
The team didn't go about celebrating the first road win and head coach Brian Wardle says they do feel as though they've gotten the monkey off their backs.
"I wouldn't say it's a milestone at all. Milestones are winning Super Bowls or championships. They didn't have to deal with me for two days after that, even though I was still on them and still pushing them."
Junior forward Alec Brown knows the conference will come down to road victories.
"We know we can get the road wins. They're going to be big for us down the stretch."
The Phoenix take on Illinois-Chicago on Thursday and Loyola on Saturday.
Green Bay is 5-3 in conference play and one game back of first place.
