GRINNELL, Iowa (AP) -- The NCAA single-game scoring record was shattered Tuesday by a player from Division III Grinnell College.

Jack Taylor poured in 138 points to lead a 179-104 rout of Faith Baptist Bible, breaking the old mark of 113 set by Rio Grande's Bevo Francis in 1954.

Taylor, from Wisconsin and a transfer from UW La Crosse, hit 27 of his 71 three-point attempts and was 52-of-108 overall from the field. He also hit seven of his 10 free throws while playing 36 minutes.

Faith Baptist was led by David Larson, who scored 70 points on 32-of-44 shooting.
