On September 15th of last year, the community was saddened by the loss of Jack Natzke, a kindergartner at Green Bay Trinity Lutheran School. Jack was a vibrant healthy 5 year-old little boy when he became sick and was hospitalized.

Due to the large amount of media coverage during his short illness, many families in the area, became close to the situation, cheering for Jack while he was sick, and mourning at his passing.

Jack will always be remembered for his loving, energetic attitude.  A big sports fan, he loved playing baseball and basketball, watching football, farming, playing with friends and gave so much love to his sister Ella and his parents Renee and Jason.

Saturday, September 17, 2016, as part of the annual "Summer's Last Blast" community event, Green Bay Trinity Lutheran School, 120 S. Henry St., Green Bay, will host the Inaugural, "Jack Natzke Memorial Kids' Run," to remember the life of Jack.

The money raised will be given to Child Life, a program of HSHS St. Vincent Children's Hospital, who meant so much to the Natzke family, while Jack was hospitalized.

It is a 1K run, with shorter distances for small children. Adults are welcome to run as well.

The run begins at 11:00 a.m.
