The annual Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair takes place on May 27-28 on the water in Sunset Park, downtown Sturgeon Bay.

Visitors can experience and create your own art: decorate one of our City’s namesakes and take home a 16” wooden sturgeon. Learn how to screenprint with a commemorative bandana. Paint for a cause at Tundraland’s “Windows for a Cause” booth. Let budding artists leave their mark on the 50’ mural. Watch and learn from the masters as professional fine artists demonstrate their craft.

The Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair will host 100 fine artists displaying and selling their original pieces of art in such forms as sculpture, glass, paintings, jewelry, fiber, photography and wood. Cast your ballot for your favorite artist in the People’s Choice Award contest – the winner is drawn Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Voting slips are available at the Information tent.

The Fine Art Fair is open Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission to the Fair is free, as are the spectacular views of the Sturgeon Bay Canal from the Art Fair grounds.

Children of all ages – creative adults too – are encouraged to stop by the All Ages Activity area to make a craft or contribute their creativity to the annual 50-foot Fine Art Fair mural. Strolling entertainers will delight fair-goers with music, face painting and balloon animals. Bring your appetite – food, beer and wine vendors with fun and tasty food will be at the fair to keep your belly full and taste buds happy.

Fine artists’ creativity will be awarded with ribbons and cash prizes Saturday afternoon. Judges will review the artwork Saturday morning and ribbons will be awarded for Best of Show, first, second, third place and honorable mention for Two-Dimensional art, first, second, third place and honorable mention for Three-Dimensional art.

Everyone has a chance to win a piece of fine art from one of the donating artists at the Fine Art Raffle tent. Raffle tickets are 1 for $5 or 3 for $10, or 10 for $10. Winners need not be present to win. The raffle winners will be drawn Sunday at 3 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair. Donating artists are listed below.
