Health care costs are rising in Wisconsin, and we're the second-most expensive state for health care-related costs in the nation, trailing only Alaska.

New claims data shows an average of 80% higher costs for procedures ranging from basic tests to surgeries.

Procedures like vaginal child births can cost $4,000 more dollars in Wisconsin. Arthroscopic knee surgeries can cost more than $7,000 above the national average, while back surgeries can set you back $11,000 dollars more courtesy of living in the Badger State.
