Two men have been arrested in connection to an August shootout in the parking lot of a Neenah Shopko.

One suspect is an 18-year-old from Neenah while the other is a 19-year-old from Menasha. NBC26 is choosing not to name them until they've been formally charged.

On August 6, Neenah Police investigated a report of multiple gunshots in the parking lot of a Shopko at 699 South Green Bay Road. The vehicles had left the scene before officers arrived.

The 18-year-old was arrested on August 10 for a probation violation and has been in custody since for that violation. Charges were referred to the Winnebago County District Attorney's office.

Police requested an arrest warrant for the 19-year-old man at the end of August. He was arrested on October 4 without incident by the Menasha Police Department, Neenah Police said.

During the investigation, police recovered two 9mm handguns they believe were used in the shootout, officers said.

They also recovered a semi-automatic rifle and 1,403 grams of marijuana, according to officers.

The case is still under investigation and additional charges are pending, police said.

If you have information about this incident, you're asked to call Sgt. Pederson with the Neenah Police Department at (920) 886-6033.
