Three television stations in Wisconsin have decided to pull a political ad attacking Democrat Russ Feingold after a letter was sent by lawyers representing him.

In the 2 page note, the group calls the ad "false, misleading, and deceptive," and urges the stations to stop running it.

WGBA-TV and WLUK-TV in Green Bay as well as WMSN-TV in Madison complied.

The group behind the ad, super PAC Freedom Partners Action Fund did make revision to the ad, hoping to reinforce it's claims that Russ Feingold was given multiple memos regarding problems at the Tomah VA Medical Center and did not take action.

Feingold says he never got the memo. His campaign issued it's own ad in response criticizing his opponent Senator Ron Johnson for being too distracted to take action over the same issue.
