Brown County deputies report collecting fingerprints, DNA and other trace evidence as they investigate a death on Manitowoc Road in Bellevue on August 29.

"In the past four days, we have put in over 200 investigative hours; we continue to conduct interviews, follow up on tips and collect and preserve potential evidence of the crime," a news release reads. "We are working to include or exclude persons of interest and to focus our investigative efforts.

The department is not releasing details of the case at this time. "It would be detrimental to the investigation for us to provide specifics on how the crime was committed, why it may have been committed, who may have done it and what evidence we are currently examining."

Deputies maintain the public is not at risk. Anyone with information should contact the Brown County Sheriff's Department.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office says they were called to 3020 Manitowoc Road around 2 a.m. Monday for a fatal shooting.

The victim of the shooting is 52-year-old Suzette L. Langlois. Friends say she is a mother to two daughters and multiple grandchildren.

Heather Schuyler struck up a friendship with Langlois long ago, and is completely heart-broken that she is gone.

"Her heart, her smile; she was just an amazing person, a beautiful person and the best friend anybody could ever want. She'd do anything for you," Schuyler said.

As of early this evening the Brown County Dive Team appeared to be searching a retention pond nearby the scene.

Authorities believe this is not a random act and say the public is not in danger.

However friends hope that someone comes forward with information that helps investigators make an arrest.

"Don't hesitate, help!" Schuyler said. "Leave nothing unturned that's the only way this is going to get solved and get justice for her please, I'm asking- I'm begging please let's find this person and get them behind bars."

The public is asked to contact Sgt. Brian Slinger at (920) 448-4230 or Crime Stoppers at (920) 360-7688 if they have any information that can help this investigation.

The family of Suzette Langlois has established a Go Fund Me Page to help pay for funeral costs.
