Remembering Trooper Trevor Casper, two years after his death

Trooper Trevor Casper's impact is felt every day as his former colleagues head out to protect their community.

"There's not a day that goes by, where he's not thought of," said Sgt. Tim McGrath.

McGrath wears a blue bracelet every day, reminding him of Trooper Trevor Casper.

"We're very proud of what he did that day," said McGrath.

That was Casper's first day on the job alone. He was responding to a robbery call which started in Marinette County.
   
Trooper Casper spotted the suspect on highway 41, leading to a shoot out.

"It's every law enforcement officer's worst nightmare to have colleague shot, injured and ultimately killed," said McGrath.

Despite their loss, McGrath says he and other troopers are proud of Casper. On social media, communities showing their love and support..

"it doesn't matter what department you're with. Law enforcement, it's a brotherhood, a sisterhood. We all work together," said McGrath.
