UPDATE: Bond for Antonio Contreras was set at $1 million cash with the condition he can't leave the state according to a judge in Green Lake County Court.

"I apologize for what I've done," Contreras said in court when the judge asked if he had anything else to say.

Contreras is facing four charges including, first degree intentional homicide, arson of a building, mutilation of a corpse and possession of a firearm by a felon.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim Grace Reiter-Rudolph and Contreras were dating and Contreras admitted to police that on the night of March 12, "..he had smoked methamphetamine and consumed several beers."

The complaint goes on to say Contreras then got into a fight with his girlfriend and she locked herself in their bedroom.

That's when Contreras allegedly told investigators he, "assembled a .22 caliber rifle, went upstairs, broke through the bedroom door and shot Grace Reiter-Rudolph four times in the head."

Following the shooting Contreras allegedly lit the house on fire and fled south.

"I certainly feel very bad for the victim.  This whole case is essentially about her because she lost her life in this very unfortunate incident," explained Green Lake district attorney, Andrew Christenson.

An initial appearance for Contreras has been scheduled for April 17.
