A steady trickle of voters casting their ballots Tuesday night in some of the Wisconsin's biggest races, starting with Paul Ryan fending off a primary challenger.

"We are going to make the case that house Republicans are offering new ideas for a new day and let it be known we can't afford another four years like the Obama years," said Republican congressional candidate and House Speaker, Paul Ryan.

Ryan's Democratic opponent Ryan Solen disagrees.

"Let's face it their hasn't been a whole lot of progress made in Congress recently.  A lot of it has just been grid lock and people are tired of that, they really are they want to see a difference they want to see something change," said Solen.

Zeroing in on Wisconsin even more. the 8th Congressional District race pits a county executive against a marine veteran.

"We are not going to change Washington until we send people to Washington with the skills that members of Congress are lacking," said Democrat and Outagamie County executive, Tom Nelson.

Nelson is using his years of experience against his opponent, Republican business,an, Mike Gallagher, who has never held public office.

"Give people the freedom they need to make the best decisions for their own lives rather than someone in Washington D.C. telling me how I should live my life and so that's the message I'm going to go forward with," said Gallagher.

Another race to keep an eye on is the Senate race between Republican incumbent Ron Johnson and Democratic challenger Russ Feingold.  According to the latest Marquette Poll, Feingold leads Johnson 49 percent to 43 percent.

The candidates have until November 8 to make their points, that's when final votes will be cast.
