Name of Neenah pedestrian killed by car released

One man is dead after being hit by a car Tuesday afternoon in Neenah. 

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, Neenah Police responded just after 3 p.m. 
 
Mark E. Kellermann, 66 of Neenah, was driving a green, 4-door car. He was stopped on East Forest Avenue at Commercial Street, waiting to turn right at the traffic light. The light turned green and Kellermann started to turn north onto North Commercial Street. As the driver was turning, William M. Wanamaker, 77 of Neenah stepped into the crosswalk, in the path of the green car. Wanamaker was hit by the car, fell backwards and hit his head on the road. He was taken to Theda Care Regional Medical Center where he later died of his injuries.
 
The Wisconsin State Patrol is completing an investigation of the crash and is also completing a crash reconstruction. According to WSP, there is no indication that either the driver or the pedestrian were impaired.
