Kids at Eisenhower Elementary school and eight others in the Green Bay Area Public School district, will have crossing guards, and additional help.
Kathy Brock, is a new crossing guard, and said it's all for the kids.
"Just to keep them going across the street safely, and greeting them, with a warm welcome every morning, just to put a little smile on their face, gets the day started out right..." said Brock.
NBC26's Partners in Education, and Shopko have partnered together, for a $1,000 grant, to get more safety cones, whistles, and training for staff.
Chris Collar, a safety and security coordinator for the district, said parents and teachers will have a peace of mind knowing their children are better protected.
