The Shopko Foundation in partnership with NBC26 and the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce awarded Adventist Junior Academy a $1,000 dollar grant to buy a new Microscope.

Students 5th-10th grade will be participating in a “Sea Urchin Fertilization Program” where students can monitor the sea urchins development. Principal Kiana Binford says the new microscope will be equipped with a adapter for a smart phone or tablet so students can record their experiment. "You can assign kids to read pages A-C and they can fill out the questions without it actually stopping in their brain. But to see it, feel it and touch it," said Binford.

Adventist Junior Academy is a small Christian school with just 28 students K-10th grade. "Our school board is wonderful and they try to provide as much as they can with the funds that they have through tuition but there is only so much they can do. So when we can find small things like this and generous donors it just makes such a difference," said Binford.
