After weeks of voting, Oshkosh Corporation's Joint Light Tactical Vehicle has taken home the title of "Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin" for 2017.
The contest, run by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, is aimed at showcasing the variety of products made in the state.
"The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle has always been one of the coolest things made in our state, but now everyone at Oshkosh Corporation can truly say it is the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin," said WMC President/CEO Kurt R. Bauer. "From everyone at WMC, we congratulate the entire Oshkosh team on winning this year's contest."
Oshkosh Corporation's Joint Light Tactical Vehicle was one of four finalists, along with Generac's XC Generator, Mercury Marine's Joystick Piloting System and Ariens Company's Sno-Thro.
The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle won by a popular vote over those three.
The winner was announced Monday at the WMC Foundation's State of Wisconsin Business & Industry Luncheon.
This was the second year of the contest.
