The Waupaca County Sheriff's Department reports one person was killed in a two-vehicle crash today.

It happened on County Highway T about one mile north of Highway 22 in the Township of Bear Creek around 4:00PM.

Deputies say one vehicle was northbound and the other was southbound when one of them crossed the centerline and hit the other vehicle.

The driver of the NB vehicle, a 38-year-old Bear Creek man, was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the SB vehicle, a 45-year-old Manawa woman, was trapped inside the vehicle. She was extricated by the Bear Creek fire department and taken to Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah by helicopter.

There were also two children in the SB vehicle who were both taken to the hospital.

It is not clear at this time which vehicle crossed the center line, and no names are being released until the family is notified.
