Nearly two dozen people displaced after apartment fire

No one is hurt as nearly two dozen people are temporarily displaced after an apartment fire in Sheboygan.
 
The Sheboygan Fire Dept. says the blaze broke out around 2:00 a.m. at Camelot Manor Apartments, 2332 Carmen Ave. Crews report with flames coming out of the first and second floor windows.
 
Sheboygan Police were on scene and were evacuating occupants from the building. 
 
Fire crews initially attacked and knocked down the fire from the exterior, as additional crews arrived they were able to enter the apartment and complete the extinguishment. The only person living in the apartment where the fire started had evacuated the home prior to the fire departments arrival. Crews say that apartment is a complete loss. 
 
The tenant is currently being assisted by the Red Cross. 
 
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Crews report $125,000 in damage.
