Packers Looking to Stack Success
Sunday's dominating performance in Houston is one domino the Packers are working to topple as the season progresses.
"Stacking success is so important in the league," said Head Coach Mike McCarthy. "It's our theme. We haven't won two in a row this year, that's our theme this week, [winning] back to back."
Stacking success by providing an effective punch on offense, defense and special teams. Game by game, quarter by quarter, even play by play.
"It was a good game for us last week but it doesn't mean a whole lot unless you get on a role and put up 4,5,6 games in a row where you're playing how you want to on offense," said Aaron Rodgers.
"That's what we're capable of doing all the time," agreed Offensive Tackle Bryan Bulaga. "It's just a matter of putting it on the field and staying consistent."
"We haven't won back to back games this season [and] that's frustrating. It's about consistency," Rodgers said.
But stacking success also means having a short memory.
"It's most important for us to have a healthy preparation for this week and go down there and play the best we can," said McCarthy.
"At the end of the day this league is based on performance and production so you have to take each game one step at a time," said Safety Morgan Burnett. "That's why I said each game is our most important game so that's why we can't get far ahead of ourselves."
[We have to] keep building off what we did last week every play. Everyone doing their job and just hopefully get this win," added Defensive Lineman C.J. Wilson.
The Packers will travel to St. Louis this Sunday to play the Rams. It is the third consecutive road game and third consecutive game played in a dome for the Packers.
