Packers Pounce on Opportunities
Thursday nights 23-10 victory over the Bears was all about opportunities.
A chance for Donald Driver to make an impact and for the defense to dominate to the tune of seven sacks and four interceptions
"We've got some talent now it's gonna be hard to double one guy and leave others single blocked," said Clay Matthews.
"It's the Kind of performance you love to get out of your defense," said Charles Woodson. "And I think we're on our way to becoming a good defense."
And how about re-defining '4th and 26'? a fake field goal in the second quarter, springing backup tight end Tom Crabtree gave the Packers a 10-0 lead
"I must not watch special teams practice because I've never seen that play," Charles Woodson deadpanned.
"That's the call of the year. I mean you got Tom Crabtree to getting the ball and running 26 yards, so you'd never think that'd happen," said Tramon Williams.
"We've been practicing that for a while," said Punter and sometimes Quarterback Tim Masthay. "We'll get one rep with it in a period so it's not like we're doing it a lot, so it'd be easy to miss it if you're not watching like a hawk."
"It got us going fo the rest of the game," said Tom Crabtree. "I think we were already doing a great job, I think that play Kind of put us over the top."
Now with 11 days off after a quick turnaround, an opportunity to rest up for a trip to Seattle next Monday night
"I'm tired," said Matthews. "We've played 2 games in 4 or 5 days."
