Packers Aware- But Not in Awe- of Moss
When the Packers take the field on Sunday, the defensive backfield will be lined up opposite a wide receiver that has a lot of history with Green Bay in Randy Moss.
Moss' body of work as one of the greatest wide receivers in the history of the game is in place with a bust in Canton, Ohio all but certain.
"Anytime someone makes a great catch over someone I say 'You got Mossed', said Randall Cobb.
Fellow wide receiver James Jones agreed. "When we catch a deep ball, jump over somebody we say 'You got Mossed'."
As a former wide receiver, Packer cornerback Sam Shields holds Moss in the highest regard.
"He was a big influence on me," Shields said. "I had his jersey and everything like that so it was a big deal watching him growing up and now on the other side its kinda crazy."
But the Packers won't allow the glow of a future Hall of Famer to put blinders on their gameplan.
"I gotta get the fan part out of it because you know I'm still a fan of Moss," added Shields, "but I gotta go out and play my responsibilities and cover the best I can."
Other players aren't as worried about who is in front of them come game time.
"I treat everyone the same, some guys have names some guys don't, but they're all good," said Tramon Williams.
The Packers wont underestimate Moss's playmaking ability even at the ripe age of 35.
