School Board Sends Referendum To Voters
PULASKI-- After hearing dozens of public comments on the issue, the Pulaski School Board decided to allow the voters decide the fate of a $30 million dollar referendum.
The school's superintendent says the proposal would allow the district to address maintenance issues and upgrade several schools and build new athletic facilities. The plan includes about $7 million for a new pool.
A group fighting the referendum says it cannot support higher taxes and upgrades to athletic facilities. Several people spoke out at a public hearing before the vote.
The proposal will appear on the November 6th ballot.
