Man flown to hospital after crashing motorcycle into ditch

FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. - A man was flown to the hospital after crashing his motorcycle into a ditch.

The Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Department says Carl Hoffman, 49, of Sheboygan, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries when he crashed.

They say it happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday afternoon on Thrill Road, just south of Vielbig Road, in the Township of Oakfield.

Deputies say the driver was heading south on Thrill Road when he made a turn too fast and slid across the roadway into a ditch.

They say Hoffman was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The Oakfield Fire Department, Life Star Ambulance and Flight for Life also responded to the scene.
