PULASKI -- Pulaski students had a chance to enjoy an evening of exploring other cultures.

"Fiesta Fun Night" was held at Sunnyside Elementary School this evening. Students enjoyed arts and crafts, played games, and even sampled some international cuisine. The event was held to celebrate the district's "World Language Program."

Fairview Elementary Principal Eric Vanden Heuvel says, "The different languages have not only gotten kids excited, but developmentally, they are really at a place that has really pushed their learning."

"It's really outstanding to watch the kids, especially the kindergartners, how much they absolutely just absorb everything right away," said Spanish teacher Jackie Brown from Sunnyside Elementary.

Students also had a chance to show off their language skills tonight using Smartboard technology.
