WAUSHARA COUNTY-- An arrest has been made in connection with a murder in Waushara County. Authorities have arrested 42-year-old Travis Peterson of rural Wautoma in connection with the March 6th death of 50-year-old Robert Kasun.

The owner of the Mt. Morris hotel where Kasun was found dead says the suspect named in this case was also living at the motel, in a room next to the victim.

Police say Kasun died from blunt force trauma to the head and abdomen inflicted by another person. Peterson was taken into custody Monday and was arrested after being questioned by police.

The owner of the motel says they are trying to move on from the crime that shocked the small community.

Just down the road at the Lodge Pub and Grill, employees say they are relived an arrest was made.

Meanwhile, Peterson is being held at the Waushara County Jail. He has not yet been charged with murder.
