GREEN BAY -- Tonight, Green Bay's Preble High school hosted an important seminar for parents in the district. It focused on how to keep their students safe, especially from their peers.

The two-hour session focused on how substance abuse, bullying, and suicides are all connected in schools.

School social worker Christina Gingle says, "We have 14% of our students who reportedly contemplated suicide in the last 12 months, so it is a pretty big issue that we want to be proactive about and addressing."

Parents also had the chance to learn more about community resources and how they can access those services, if they're concerned.
