Three WIAA State Champs
Northeast Wisconsin won big this weekend at the WIAA championships.
Three schools in the area brought home gold balls. Notre Dame in Division 2, Kewaunee in Division 3 and Algoma in Division 4.
This is Algoma's first championship win in 27 years and freshman basketball player, Baleigh Delorit is very excited. "It's the first state championship in 27 years I think, so it feels really good to be a part of that," said Delorit.
For other schools like Kewaunee this is there second state title, back to back. They had a pep rally for the girls and the community.
It's so unbelievable that it happend you know back to back years...and I'm just going to remember this weekend for forever, that's for sure," said Kelsey Stangel, a senior on Kewaunee's team.
