The Wisconsin DNR says the 2013 sturgeon spearing harvest was just one fish higher than last year's totals. 567 sturgeon were harvested this season on both the upriver lakes and Lake Winnebago. 39 of the sturgeon taken weighed over 100 pounds. Only 306 fish were taken from Lake Winnebago which is well below the spearing cap. The 2013 spearing season ran the full 16 days. It ended on Sunday.
