The proposal to re-name a Green Bay street after Donald Driver is moving forward.
Mayor Jim Schmitt made the original announcement at Driver's retirement ceremony.
The proposal would change the 300-block of North Pearl Street to Donald Driver Way.
Monday night, the Green Bay plan commission sent the proposal to city staff. Alderman expect it to go to a city council vote in a few weeks.
