The "Help for the Homeless" hygiene drive is underway in Northeast Wisconsin to help those in need during the winter months. This is the 21st year for the campaign which collects personal care items such as soap, toothpaste and shampoo. All of the donations will go directly to homeless shelters in Brown County and the Fox Cities.

"When the crisis agencies have a year's worth of supplies on their shelves, they're not needing to spend their limited resources on toilet paper and shampoo when they can be spending them on services, food, shelter and education for those they serve," said Community Relations Coordinator, Heidi Prahl.

Donations will be collected at Festival Foods and at select schools and churches throughout the area through March 17th. Last year, 610 area donation sites collected more than $250,000 worth of products.
