A residency rule in the city of Green Bay will not be eliminated.

Tuesday night, the city's personnel committee did not take up a motion to eliminate the rule. Just last week, the city council approved an exemption, allowing interim police chief Tom Molitor to live *outside* city limits.

There was also a motion Tuesday, to eliminate the exemption, but it was also turned down.
