The American Red Cross Hosts Green Bay Holiday Blood Drives
Green Bay--During the 2012 holiday season, the American Red Cross asks everyone to support its mission by giving something meaningful. Community members can give hope to those in need by donating blood at the Green Bay holiday blood drives on Dec. 21 and 24. All presenting donors can enjoy special refreshments and will receive a complimentary t-shirt, while supplies last.
Friday, Dec. 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. - Pilgrim Congregational Church - 991 Pilgrim Way, Green Bay, Wis.
Monday, Dec. 24 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. - St. John the Baptist Church - 2561 Glendale Ave., Howard, Wis.
How to Donate
Simply call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit www.RedCrossBlood.org to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients.
A blood donor card or driver's license, or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
