Packers Ring Bells for Salvation Army
ASHWAUBENON -- Packers players taking time out after practice today to help the Salvation Army. Cornerback Davon House and Running Back Alex Green stopped by Bay Park Square Mall today to sign autographs and ring bells at the Big Red Kettle. They say it's an important part of being a Packer.
"I volunteer to give back a little bit, it's fun, I like to meet my fans, our Packer fans, our owners, as you could say my boss I guess, so it feels good," House said.
Green said, "It's very important. That's what it's about it's about giving back to the kids and making sure everybody has a merry Christmas. Being in this position that we're in, we're definitely blessed so giving back is always a big deal for us."
The players offered autographs in exchange for monetary donations to the Salvation Army. You have just five days left to donate to the 2012 Red Kettle Campaign.
