Sen. Kohl Passing Torch To Baldwin
Retiring Sen. Herb Kohl said goodbye Thursday, thanking those who made his tenure in the U.S. Senate possible.
"It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve these last 24 years, in this hallowed institution alongside my fellow senators and my staff and as the voice for the people of Wisconsin,” Sen. Kohl said.
Brown County Democratic Chair Mary Ginnebaugh says Kohl will be a tough act to follow.
"He will be missed but he's being replaced by a very able person in Tammy Baldwin and I think she will do an equal task and job as he did,” Ginnebaugh said.
Senator-elect Tammy Baldwin will be taking Kohl's seat January 3.
Brown county Democrats hope Baldwin can keep the seat for as long as Kohl did.
